The year 2020 has certainly packed a punch. It has left many in our community uncertain about their future whilst fundamentally changing our way of life. Our sporting clubs have felt the effects, with many sports cancelling training and games – depriving our young people of the chance to play a sport with their friends, learn new skills and contribute to their community.
Given how tough 2020 has been, Lilydale Montrose United is looking ahead to next year. It is likely to be a year when many families struggle to afford many of life’s basic costs – let alone extra-curricular activities.
We also want to keep this really simple. In years gone by, we have structured sponsorship packages, ranging from $500 to $5,000, and had different levels of support. We still want to provide exposure to your business, but more than anything, we want kids playing soccer.
And so, in 2021, we are offering the first 150 boys and girls who sign up, the chance to play for just $75.
We’re simply asking for a $500 commitment (more if you want to), that will help cover the costs of putting a kid in a uniform and playing organised soccer.
Nothing complicated. We’ll plug your business through all our social media channels. We’ll buy products from your business to sell or raffle at our club. We’ll urge all our members to use your business for whatever products or services you offer. We’ll promote you at our ground, and in any printed material we issue.
We already have several local businesses signed up. With your support, we can make this happen – and make 2021 a much better year! If you think you can help out with a small amount that will go a long way, please get in touch with our club President, Paul Dorian.
